The first weekend of May was the Detroit Gambler 500. I had never been to a Gambler, so I didn't know what to expect. This trip was full of firsts for me. Enjoy.. |

As we rolled in, I saw things that I had previously only seen in photos, youtube videos and Top Gear cheap car challenges... |

Cars that would be completely illegal in places like California, or anywhere with safety inspections... |

Would never be allowed to be on the road... |

And sporting captions, stickers or grafitti that would upset many people... |

Either way, I'm glad my friend Sam invited me along. |

And this bizare thing....an Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan with a pop-up camper fastened sideways in the rear, and sporting New York plates. |
