Deutsche Marques : Audi and VW

Audi is known for their quality engineering, their amazing all-wheel drive technology and their racing pedigree. This S1 Quattro is one of the cars that started it all. Built as a Homologation Special model, the racing version of this revolutionized rally racing in the 1980's.

.

The S2 Coupe was the replacement for the legendary quattro. A bit less common than the Quattro, but still a great looking car.

.
Volkswagen is the company that started it all off for Germany's cars for the masses. This VW 4-door cab pickup is a pretty rare vehicle. A rear-engine pickup truck. I love these things.

.

The Corrado shared a platform with the Mk.2 Golf and Jetta, and was the first VW to use the VR6 engine.

.

German car shows would be incomplete without slammed Volkswagens. This was one of a handful of such cars. I loved the wheels on this Passat (?).

.

The Beetle is one of the few non-american cars that can be found at classic car shows in my area. Most of the beetles were the usual restored, or traditionally modified styles. This one caught my eye, though. This one, with the fenders removed, and the wire wheels just looks awesome. I wish I got more photos of this, but, sadly, they didn't turn out.

Thanks for reading, check back often for more.
