Deutsche-Marques at the Gilmore - Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is my favorite car, as you all may know. I do prefer the older air-cooled models, but the newer models are so much more refined, and much faster. The model line has been in production since 1963, and is showing no signs of going away.

.

As far as the water-cooled 911's go, the 991 is the best looking and performing of them all.

.

The 997 was the second generation water-cooled model, and fixed many of the issues the previous 996 had.

.

The 993 was the last of the air-cooled models, and the first of the regular-production 911's that offered All-Wheel Drive.

.

I didn't happen to get any pictured of any 964 911's, though there was at least one in attendance. This 930 Carrera was pretty cool, though, I'm not a fan of the US-spec 5-mph bumpers. I'd love to get one of these someday, but the price is getting higher and higher.

.

This early 911 is made to look like one of Magnus Walker's cars, and sports the Urban Outlaw sticker under the right side door mirror.

.

The early 911's were the simplest, most pure form of the 911. No power steering, no power brakes, no anti-lock braking and certainly no traction control.

Thanks for reading. Be sure to check back often for more.
