There's just something about classic Mopars...

I've posted many classic Mopars on here. They have started to grow on me a bit. At a recent Cars and Coffee here in Lansing, I had the pleasure of seeing this gorgeous 1962 Plymouth Belvedere Commando 361.

.

This car is largely similar to the Dodge Coronet 330 from last summer at the Olympic Broil cruise-ins. The guy who arrived in this car had stories to tell about the car.

.

The owner tells me he had one of these as his first car. He had a board up with photos of his old car. He recently found this car, and brought it home back in October. He has restored it to it's current condition, and was happy to tell me that this was the car's first trip since restoration.

.

The 440 cubic inch engine looks right at home in the engine bay.

.

The interior is just as red as the exterior. The whole car, minus the center console, is period correct.

.

This car has really nice lines. I especially like the rear pillar lines, and the body line running from the nose to the tail.

.

The Jet-Age design details of the 1950's appear to have carried over into the 1960's with these taillights.
