Car Spotlight: 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

Ever since Autorama earlier this year, I've gained a whole new appreciation for the Tri-Fives. (1955 - 1957 Chevrolets). Last night, at the weekly Olympic broil Cruise-in, this gorgeous purple '56 showed up.

I'm not a fan of chrome on modern cars, but on the classics, it's just cool. This car had almost perfect chrome, paint and upholstery. It's always cool to see old cars simply restored to their original glory.

And as I've mentioned before, I love hood ornaments and special, model-specific styling features. This one appears to start out as an eagle, and morphs into a very sleek Jet.

Two-tone paint is something you really only see on old cars. Very few manufacturers offer new vehicles in Two-Tone paint anymore. I love the white contrasting the  purple and chrome.

Anyway, thanks for reading. Like always, follow me on my social media pages, share my posts, and feel free to comment.

Until next time.
