Event Coverage: M1 concourse Cars and coffee pt. 1
This weekend was the second Cars and Coffee at M1 Concourse, hosted by Car and Driver Magazine. There was a decent turnout this time, though less than last month. Unlike last time, I didn't lose my SD card with my photos. This is part 1 of my coverage of the event.
this car might look familiar to my long-time readers. It is, in fact, the same car I featured in one of my early posts back in April of 2011.
I love Air-Cooled cars. Especially Classic VW's. And I'm a bit of a fan of the sharpie-art craze we saw a few years ago. This combines both of those things, with interesting results.
This Shelby Daytona Coupe replica, from Superformance, was super clean. And it's for sale!
I love kit cars, especially the Daytonas and Cobras from the likes of Factory 5 and Superformance.
The HellCat Challenger and Charger were well represented, with the Charger being the more popular option.
Unlike meets in the Lansing area, Subaru had a weak showing. There were others there, but this one stood out to me the most. It kind of reminds me of "SuperGramps" from Mighty Car Mods.
The C7 Corvette was another strong attendee. This example had a color-change wrap, which was interesting in direct sunlight.
The Mustang had a strong representation. This example caught my eye. I'm not sure if it was lowered on coilovers or air-ride, but I liked it.
The Viper was another car with a strong showing, with at least 6 examples. This one caught my eye, though it was probably more because of what was parked beside it...
If you played Grand Theft Auto 5 like I did, this truck is definitely familiar to you. Trevors' truck in the game was based off of this Jeep Kaiser pickup.
Red isn't a color I see worn by a Cobra, but it works well. This example showing off it's "Coyote" 5.0L V8.
As you know, I love 911's, so when I saw this one, I stopped and stared. This car is at the top of my wish list...
Thanks for reading, and please, like always, check back daily for more pictures and video.
