Car Feature: Shelby GT350

This GT350 was at Cars and Coffee this weekend. I knew a bit about these cars before this weekend, namely that this car has a Flat Plane V8.

But other than that, I didn't know a whole lot. After a bit of research, I leaned that they have 526hp and 439 ft-lb of torque. This generation of Mustang, unlike previous generations, has an independent rear axle, allowing for better handling.

I was talking with the owner a bit. He told me he's already got something like 20,000 miles on this car.

Sadly, many people who own a car like this don't drive the cars. They only take them to shows, meets and the occasional track day. 

This car's owner says he bought it to drive it. Why have a car like this, never to put miles on it.

I'd love to get a chance to drive one of these someday. But until then, I'll stick to seeing them at meets, watching them on Youtube, and speccing them out on Ford's website. I haven't exactly been a fan of the Mustang, but this Generation if the car is quite impressive.
