From the Archives: 2011 MSU Car Show - 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-spec

Apparently, one of my first posts, from back in 2011, still has my highest view count so far, so I thought I'd revisit the car.
The 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-spec. Perhaps my generations Lamborghini Countach, in terms of it's sheer Iconic status. I'd dare say this car is on nearly every gearheads top-25 list.

This example is a first-year R34-generation Nissan Skyline GT-R. Finished in the most iconic color for the model: BaySide BLue (Code TV2). The car has a very recognizeable face, which seems to be in a perpetual state of aggravation.

Dan, the owner, has added numerous NISMO-branded parts on it, including the NISMO LMGT4 wheels.
The 4 round tail lamps very slightly resemble those found on other, lesser cars. But Nissan has used a similar dsign since the C110 Skyline.

Powering this Japanese Icon is the no less iconic BRB26DETT (RB-series block, 2.6L Dual-Overhead Cams, Electronic Ignition and Fuel Injection ,Twin-Turbo).

Dan keeps this car super clean. Every show I've seen him at, he's been super friendly, and willing to answer any questions about the car.

I'll leave you with this shot. For you long time readers, you may recognize this as the cover photo I used for so long.
